as well as enjoy the cooling summer breezes. By the pool, the gazebo looks out across 2 lilly-filled dams to Springbrook and the
Queensland Border Ranges, whilst all guest rooms open to a large verandah which
looks across the undulating pastures of a 200 acre cattle farm to Mt Warning - the
"plug" of the extinct volcano and the spot where the first dawn sun touches
Australia. At night we light up the gazebo, pool and gardens, making this a perfect spot to
enjoy one of Clive's gourmet summer barbecues. Dinner can be served in the
dining room, at Clive's beautiful hand-crafted timber table, at your own private
table on the verandah outside your room, or in the fairylit gazebo by our
solar-heated pool ~ perhaps enjoy a warm dip after your meal.
What better way to spend a glorious summer's evening? In the separate guest lounge you'll find colour tv/video, stereo, a selection of books and games, as well as a stocked guest fridge and 24 hour tea/coffee making facilities ~ in addition to coffee and a range of teas, a selection of herbal beverages are provided for the health conscious. A pétanque set is available for a lawn games on sunny days, and our local Video
Ezy is happy to provide temporary membership to Hillcrest guests ~ although
we're gradually building up our own library of old black and white classic movies
for those unexpected rainy afternoons. |
