Situated in a secluded nineteenth-century 'sotoportego' (narrow street) between two canals, this house on two floors is a flexible, convenient, calm base for your self-catering holiday in the historic centre of Venice. It is equipped for up to five people. There is a fully equipped fitted kitchen and art books and travel guides are provided. The ground floor has a good-sized kitchen, where five people can eat around the table in comfort. The bathroom has a half-sized bath with a good shower, basin, w.c. and bidet. It also has a washing machine. The main downstairs room is a sitting room, but because the main sofa quickly and easily unfolds into a full-sized double bed, you can also choose to use the room as a bedroom - throughout your stay, or just at night (there is a chest to store duvet, pillows and sheets during the day, and a flexible screen that divides the sleeping area from the thoroughfare to the bathroom). The room is separated from the front entrance by a small vestibule, closed off by a sliding door. Up a short flight of stairs you will find the master bedroom, equipped with a super-king-sized double bed. The upstairs sitting room has a view over the red-tiled rooftops towards the houses lining the nearest canal; it is light and airy. It too can be used as a bedroom if you prefer: it has another easy-to-open, full-sized double sofa bed, and a linen chest. So each of the three main rooms sleeps up to two, and is equipped with a wardrobe. There are also two more sofas, chests of drawers with plenty of storage space, five chairs and a writing/dressing table. On our web site, linked below, you will find photos of all the main rooms as well as information about how to book and a host of useful links to help you plan your holiday in Venice. |
