All Sports Northern Michigan Lake Front Home

Description

Enjoy this three bedroom, lake front home located on beautiful Hubbard Lake in north east Michigan. Hubbard Lake is approximately 7 miles long and 4.5 miles wide, is spring fed and crystal clear. It is an all season all sports lake that offers exceptional fishing opportunities. Last year 2,400 walleye were taken from 40 boats over 3 days in the Hubbard Lake Walleye Tournament, the grand finale of this statewide tourney.

Our chalet styled home has a 24' by 32' great room with vaulted 20' ceilings. A masterful California Driftstone fireplace travels to the ceiling separating the glass wall to the lake in two halves. The homes and cottages across the lake are so far away, you will only see the forested treeline as the homes are nestled deep within. The beautiful driftstone masonry continues throughout the 18' kitchen to give it a rustic feel. The master bedroom is down while the guest bedrooms are upstairs as they look over the balcony down into the huge great room and out over the pristine waters of Hubbard Lake. A formal dining room hutch and table compliment the comfortable decor through out the home.

Our 48' dock with a lounging 'L" is bordered by a covered shore station hoist for your 21' ski or fishing boat and the two jet ski hoists to handle your machines with ease. Catch walleye, pike and bass, directly in front of our home.

Take side trips to the beautiful Mackinaw Island, an attraction known world wide and Traverse City, one of many favorite attractions for those that visit Michigan. Test your luck at several gambling casinos all in less than 2 hours travel time. Visit the Sioux Lockes and stand feet away from the gigantic freighters that traverse the waters of the Great Lakes. Take a fishing charter to Lake Huron and tangle with salmon and brown trout until your arms are tired or go scuba diving on a charter to relive the history of the numerous sunken ships in the shallow waters of the Thunder Bay of Alpena. Read about the rich history of those suken ships and see their artifacts at the Jesse Besser Museum and Planetarium

In the winter bring your snowmobiles and explore the Huron National Forest or travel across the frozen 8,000 acre Hubbard Lake and up the miles of feeder streams that sneak back into the wilderness. See deer and turkey everywhere, an occasional bear or our nesting pair of eagles if you have a keen eye.

You will be located 40 minutes from the city of Alpena yet far enough to ensure you have the northern Michigan atmosphere you've been searching for. Your most difficult task during your getaway will be deciding just what to do next!
