Large enough to sleep 15, but cozy enough for 4, Falls House invites the Great Smoky Mountains into every room. With two stone fireplaces, extensive decks, balconies, a sleeping porch, lingerhut and quiet study, guests can easily discover their own private opportunities for relaxation, reflection and wonder. Falls House stands in the midst of Cataloochee Ranch, which offers horseback riding, hiking, trout fishing, skiing, hayrides, bonfires and other activities to our guests. Founded by the late Tom and Judy Alexander in early 1930's, Cataloochee Ranch sits at an elevation of 5000 feet, on a ridge high above the resort town of Maggie Valley. With its spectacular views, family fun and healthy meals, Cataloochee Ranch is a haven folks always return to. The thousand-acre resort shares a lengthy boundary with the unique Great Smoky Mountains National Park, enabling hikers and horseback riders to extend their Ranch excursions to densely-forested slopes and streams within the Park. Great for family reunions, ski weekends, weddings or just quick getaways, Falls House fosters an intimacy not lost in its spaciousness. Just a mile away from Cataloochee Ski Area.
