The cottage is situated on five acres on a no thru road with the ocean directly in front so our neighbors are the eagles, seals, sea otters, deer, hummingbirds, squirrels, and ravens.
The cottage is a large, comfortable self-contained,non-smoking home. The interior is six years old, bright and clean. There is a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor BBQ, and a washer and dryer. The living space is open and tasteful, and the many windows take full advantage of the out-rageous views. The two bedrooms are upstairs. One is furnished with a brand new king size bed; the other with two singles. There is also a double
futon sofa downstairs in the living room. Amenities include towels, linens, a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, a BBQ, a Hammock, a Hot Tub, TV/VCR, and CD player. The hottub is down a trail from the cottage closer to the ocean. A perfect place from which to enjoy the incredible ocean and mountain view, gorgeous sunsets, and star filled nights.
Our guests balance their time between pure relaxation on our property and the many activities which are available on Gabriola.
Golfing, fishing, hiking, kayaking, diving, sailing, and seaplane charters. There is also a seasonal farmer's market, local theatre company,
museum, restaurants, pubs with Sunday Jams, and many artisan studios. As well, there are three beautiful provincial parks with swimming and walking beaches. Public tennis and basketball
courts. There are also several sites with ancient petroglyphs that are estimated to be about 5000 years old.
There are many amenities available on Gabriola. We have two grocery stores, two health food stores, a liquor store, three video stores,
two gas stations, a bookstore, cappucino bar, restaurants, a bank, ATM machines, a recycling
depot and much more. Yet rush hour is driving from one end of the Island to the other and passing 10 cars.
